FCDC EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTION NOMINATIONS
CHAIR
Position Description: The Chairperson shall be responsible for implementing the programs and policies of the Democratic Party, and the Fayette County Democratic Committee (FCDC).
In addition, the FCDC Chairperson:
Shall advance the mission, vision, and short-and long-term goals of the Democratic Party, and the Fayette County Democratic Committee (FCDC) in coordination with the Executive Committee leadership team.
Shall preside at all meetings establishing their agenda and implementing their decisions.
May establish ad-hoc committees and appoint persons to chair such committees, following consultation with the Executive Committee.
Shall be an ex-officio member of all standing and ad-hoc committees.
Shall have the specific responsibility to formulate a Strategic Plan for that year and through the next election cycle that identifies, recruits, supports and promotes qualified local, county, state and federal Democratic candidates for office, as well as strategies that promote strong fiscal growth and sustainability, and presents that plan for approval to the Executive Committee following election.
Will present the approved Strategic Plan to the FCDC membership.
In the event of a vacancy in the office of the Chair, will be replaced by the First Vice-Chair as Acting Chair, who shall have the authority and powers of the Chair.
Serve as an advocate for the FCDC in the city, County (Fayette, Clayton, Coweta, Spalding), State, and national elected official community network and build relationships with local, State, and national political leaders.
Work closely with the other appointed officers (Post Seat Holders, Communication Director, Political Activity Director, Finance Director, Membership Director, etc.) in supporting their activities.
Be a Post Seat Holder Committee Member.
