Announcing Tish Naghise Scholarship for Public Service
Scholarship Announcement for High School Students, Fayetteville, GA — Letitia “Tish” Naghise devoted her life to public service. She served as regional field director for the Democratic Party of Georgia and as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 2020. She spent years helping other Democratic candidates get elected to public office before finally running for and winning the Georgia House of Representatives District 68 seat in November of 2022.
Sadly, Tish passed away just months into her first term in office at age 59. Although her service was cut short, she accomplished much and cared deeply for the people she represented, spending countless hours tirelessly working to further meaningful change for both Fayette County and Georgia as a whole.
Tish was an outstanding public servant—a woman of great vision, solid values, and deep commitment to helping others.
To honor the service and memory of Tish Naghise, The Fayette County Democratic Committee is announcing The Tish Naghise Memorial Scholarship for Public Service. We will award two $2500 scholarships each year to two high school seniors in Fayette County. The Committee hopes recipients will honor the memory of Tish Naghise by engaging in a productive career in public service. We encourage well-rounded high school seniors in Fayette County who are committed to a career in public service to apply.
The scholarship may be applied toward a bachelor’s (four-year) or an associate’s (two-year) degree at an accredited college or university in the U.S.
